In November 2015 we applied to Born Free Foundation to their Sanctuaries Fund for heating for Brent Lodge for their outside pens, we have taken a number of foxes, badgers and deer to them over the years and their outside pens needed heating, particularly as mange foxes have no hair.
We were thrilled when in February this year they decided to give a grant for £500 for heating equipment. We spent a while sourcing the right heating and have managed to get four 6ft Tube heaters with guards , and four Flexiguard Petnap Pet Heat Pads with armoured cabling, so the animals don’t chew through them.
We are very thankful to The Born Free Foundation for donating this sum of money and especially to Karen Pettman who helped us fill out the forms. Our photo shows the delivery of the heaters at Brent Lodge with Darren, Manager at Brent Lodge taking delivery in February 2016.
