We are very grateful to Helen Sinclair, founder of Friends of the Animals on the Isle of Wight, for her generous £1,000 donation, made as soon as she heard of our new charity status. This thoughtful gift will help us establish strong foundations as we move forward, and we are sincerely thankful for her support.
Founded in 1990, Friends of the Animals works to protect animals and support the people who care for them through practical, community-focused action. Their work includes spay and neuter programmes (supporting over 46,000 animals), rescue and rehoming, wildlife support, veterinary assistance, a pet food pantry, and help for people in crisis. In 2025 alone, the charity paid £395,000 in veterinary bills, saving countless animals from suffering.
In recognition of her outstanding services to animal welfare, Helen Sinclair was awarded an MBE in 2014, reflecting more than 25 years of dedication rooted in compassion and practical care.
We are proud to receive support from someone whose values so closely align with our own, and we thank Helen sincerely for her generosity.
