In October 2015 it was reported to West Sussex Wildlife Protection that a swan had hit a power line at Pets at Home in the Shripney Road, Bognor area. Rescuers attended the scene and found the swan had already just died. WSWP engaged in negotiations with Scottish and Southern Energy for bird deflectors to be fitted. Subsequently, they are also investigating swan deaths near Binsted on another power line, and are in liaison with Scottish and Southern Energy
